Dear All
Hope some one would be able to help me here.
I have a problem with Telecom Italia NOT sending me the last 3 digit of the DID.
Example:
DID is 0651111XXX and Telco is supposed to send 651111XXX to gateway.
Most of the incoming calls to gateway works fine but but for some calls Telco sends only 651111 and they do not send XXX. When asked about this, they were suggesting that there could be a tmer in Cisco gateway which is timing out before Telco can actually send the full digits. So basically the endbloc dialling from mobile and landlines work; and digit by digit dialling does not.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue with Telecom Italia ?
I dont see any digits after 651111 in my gateway so I am not completely sure if TI is right.
Below is my configuration:
IT002# sh controll e1
E1 0/0/0 is up.

Could any one give me a sample working configuration for Telecom Italia, My gateway is H323.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
Have you tried removinf the overlap receive - at leat just to test
!
interface Serial0/1/0:15
no isdn overlap-receiving T302 2000
no isdn overlap-receiving
!
make sure you have a dial peer that matches the exact length of digits you expect to receive
dial-peer voice 11 voip
destination-pattern 65111...
session target ipv4:172.22.10.1
etc
etc
!

Hi Alex
Thanks for the reply.
Sorry I pasted the wrong configuration in the above post.
My Original configuration was below:
interface Serial0/0/0:15
description rhost="" rint="" tname="Telecom Italia"
no ip address
encapsulation hdlc
no logging event link-status
isdn switch-type primary-net5
isdn incoming-voice voice
isdn bchan-number-order ascending
no cdp enable
!
I tried the below as well
interface Serial0/0/0:15
description rhost="" rint="" tname="Telecom Italia"
no ip address
encapsulation hdlc
no logging event link-status
isdn switch-type primary-net5
isdn overlap-receiving T302 5000
isdn incoming-voice voice
isdn bchan-number-order ascending
no cdp enable
!
Calls from mobile and many land lines hits the gateway properly as 651111XXX and routes to the correct phone using existing dialpeers but some calls from land lines hits the gateway as only 651111
Thanks
Joseph

Joseph,
This sounds more like a TELCO issue.
I think you should ask them to retest with ISDNPRI Emulator (Tester like an TREND -AURORA etc) at the customer end
and prove to you that all digits are being received for all calls that you can get placed.
Regards
Alex

Joseph,
By default Cisco router works in Enblock dialing mode. Overlap receiving mostly will work with 'ISDN swith type qsig' not with the primary-net5.
Since its an incoming call ,You may need to try changing the call proceeding timer
To set a timer for the call proceeding state, use the isdn t310 command interface configuration mode. To reset to the default, use the no form of this command.
isdn t310 msecs
no isdn t310
msecs | Time, in milliseconds, that the router waits before disconnecting a call after receiving a call proceeding message. Range is 1 to 400000. |
