h323 error "Bearer capability not available(0x3A)"

Hi,

Has anyone seen the following error: **ERROR**: call_progress: DEV_CONNECTED VOICE ERROR: Bearer capability not available(0x3A): b channel 0 call id 0x27E5 ?

The above error happens when I enter the "debug isdn q931" and also I do not get any output from it.

Is video enabled on your phone?

Are you faxing out of this gateway.

Hi,

After rebooting the router I started getting the debug isdn q931 output again but the error continues and this is how it happens:

ISDN Se0/3/0:23 Q931: TX -> ALERTING pd = 8 callref = 0xAE74

ISDN Se0/3/0:23 Q931: TX -> CONNECT pd = 8 callref = 0xAE74

ISDN Se0/3/0:23 Q931: RX <- CONNECT_ACK pd = 8 callref = 0x2E74

ISDN Se0/3/0:23 **ERROR**: call_progress: DEV_CONNECTED VOICE ERROR: Bearer capability not available(0x3A): b channel 1 call id 0x1B

I don't have video or fax enable and it happens only on incoming calls.

Hi, the message is cosmetic, happens all the time, and doesn't affect functionality.

Arguably, Cisco sholud remove it soon.

You are correct, this is a cosmetic issue (according to Cisco). The 12.4T images should remove it.
