Hi,
I am looking for a simple way to find a name of a Phone Load Name for different vesions of phone firmware.
For example we are using cucm 8.6.2 and say 7941 phones running SCCP41.9-3-1SR2-1S, if we put in a new phone with firmware lower than 8.5.2 it will not jump to the latest 9.3.1 version, until you upgrade to 8.5.2. We have 8.5.2 installed on the CM so the easiest thing to do is paste the load name into the individual phone and force it to upgrade to 8.5.2 then 9.3.1. The load name for the 9.3.1 is in the device defaults, but where can you find the load name for 8.5.2. I have searched online and cant seem to find it in the read me's or release notes. Is there an easy way to search for this on the CM?
Thanks
Oleg

A practical way to get names of the firmware loads installed in CUCM is to use the TFTP File Management under OS administration. Just search for files that contain .loads.

Hi Oleg,
Just to add a note to the good tips from Amine (+5)
You would use
SCCP41.8-5-2S
in this case for the phone load name
Cheers!

Hi Oleg,
Other way, you can also get the phone load name under Product Support ----Voice and Unified Communications[Phones] ---select the IP phone 7900 series ---- Download Software ----Select the exact model from Products -----select the Software type[SCCP/SIP] -----Select releases example cmterm-7941_7961-sccp.9-3-1SR1-1.cop.sgn
