hi all.
Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I don't usually dabble with Call manager express so my voice skill are pretty limited (as you can see from the below questions).
We have recently changed from sip lines to analog. (numbers xxxx and yyyyy are no longer relevant to the new incoming analog numbers. ultimately the sip details can all be deleted but i'm leaving them in to make it easier to add back at a later date if needed).
After some reading up and making some minor changes I can successfully make calls out over 001 and 002 (dial-peer voice 106 & 107 pots) but can only receive incoming calls on the vsat line 001 line.
for now 003,004,005,006 are all irrelevant. But phone lines 005 and 006 are receiving incoming calls as well. We no longer have faxes so that can probably get tidied up.
In the sanitised config below I am receiving outside calls through voice port 0/1/0
but i'm not receiving calls coming from the line connected to voice port 0/1/1
I just want to understand why calls are successfully coming in on Vsat line 001 so that i can replicate it onto 002. Also let me know if i should be adding other instructions to make everything proper and correct.
I would much appreciate if someone could explain to me what instructions are allowing the incoming calls to process. i understand the translation rules and dial-peers much better for outgoing calls than i do for incoming and if you notice other amateur mistakes below please point them out to me. Thanks.

It looks like port 0/1/0 is being forwarded to hunt group 901. Port 0/1/1 is being sent to hunt group 902.
voice-port 0/1/0
cptone NL
connection plar opx 901
voice-port 0/1/1
cptone NL
connection plar opx 902
I see that hunt group 901 is defined but I can't find where 902 is defined.
voice hunt-group 21 sequential
final 260
list 110,260,160,320
timeout 18
pilot 901
I think if you create a new hunt group, the same config as voice hunt group 21 but with the pilot number of 902 the incoming calls on 0/1/1 will go to the extensions you put in the "list" line of the hunt group config.

Thanks Kkoeper, that worked. Can you see anything in the outgoing dial-peers that is incorrect or something that might be missing or not best practice? particularly dial-peer voice 106 and 107?
should i have DID on those?
Also I think maybe the calls don't close properly and it keeps the line active on the other end after i hang up?
05-21-2015 06:45 AM
Dial-peers 106 and 107 are sending calls out the analog ports, I'm not sure what you mean by adding a DID. Is there something you want the dial peer to do that it is not doing?
If you want dial peer 106 to send calls that start with 001 out port 0/1/0 then it is OK.
If you want dial peer 107 to send calls that start with 002 out port 0/1/1 then it is OK.
If the far end is not hanging up it is related to equipment at the far end. There's nothing you can do on your end to control the disconnect supervision on the far end.

It looks like port 0/1/0 is being forwarded to hunt group 901. Port 0/1/1 is being sent to hunt group 902.
voice-port 0/1/0
cptone NL
connection plar opx 901
voice-port 0/1/1
cptone NL
connection plar opx 902
I see that hunt group 901 is defined but I can't find where 902 is defined.
voice hunt-group 21 sequential
final 260
list 110,260,160,320
timeout 18
pilot 901
I think if you create a new hunt group, the same config as voice hunt group 21 but with the pilot number of 902 the incoming calls on 0/1/1 will go to the extensions you put in the "list" line of the hunt group config.
