Hi all,
I am trying to connect an analogue phone to my Cisco router through a VIC3-2FXS card plugged on slot 3. Router runs Version 15.4(3)M3, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2).
I have tried a couple of different phones but I cannot get any dial tone.
Here my conf

Hi,
Are you sure that the pin out on the phones match the FXS ports?
For more information about this see this url, http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/voice/analog-signaling-e-m-did-fxs-fxo/7938-2fxs-vic.html#info

Hi Manish,
many thanks for your reply
I checked the links provided. I am not using STCAPP. As you seen before, If I do show voice-port summary, I see the port in on-hook state. However, if i lift the receiver it doesn't change the state it remains in on-hook and there is no dial-tone; I've reinserted the voice module card in and swapped the slots without any joy.
I also have a couple of IP phones (7821) connected on the router and they are both working ok.
This is the output of
#sh voice dsp

On the second link, how can I check on IOS if I have the feature IP Plus or Enterprise Plus?
Thank you

Hi Paolo.
Please look at the led near the port.
Does the led lite up when you go off hook?
Please post the output of a show diag and show ver.
Please provide also logs as Nadeem requested.
Thanks

Hi all,
I brought in a tester and I found out that I have +44V. I plugged in a adapter with pins splitter and I check pin by pin. Using an adaptor, going from RJ-11 to RJ-45 back to the analogue phone I have my dial tone and telephony is working ok. I'll make a suitable RJ-11 cable.
Thank you guys for your help.
