Hello.
I have a VIC-2 FXS port with 2 analog lines configured on it. A couple of days ago, it
just stopped working.
If I call the number(s), it just rings and rings.
However, when calling the numbers, I do see the "in use" light "light up" on the card.
If I "shutdown" the ports and try calling, I get a fast busy signal signaling the fact
that it is detecting the shutdown.
If I pick up the phone on the fax machine(s), I get nothing but dead air.
If I plug in an analog phone directly into the port(s), I get dead air.
The card does show up when I do a "sh diag" in the router.
And again, nothing on the configuration has changed.
From searching other people who have had the same issues, it appears that the card is dead. I have a spare care I can
try and would like to swap it out afterhours.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance!

What is the config of the voice ports?
If the ports do receive calls but do not play a dialtone, there is usualy no dialtone cofigured on that port.
Example of a minimalistic voice-port configuration for USA.
voice-port 1/0/0
cptone us

Actually 'cptone us' is the default, and as such does not show in configuration.
Dialtone on FXS ports is always played. There no need to configure anything under voice port to do that.

Thanks everyone. Turns out it was a bad card. Powered off the router, replaced it, came back up with no issues.
