Hello all. I have to replace some older model VoIP phones such as Model# 7975 with newer model phones such as Model# CP-8851NR. The current way that I am doing it is by adding the new mac address to CUCM under model 8851NR. I then have 2 windows open: 1 for the old model # with all the settings such as directory number and speed dials, the 2nd window has the new phone model # and I copy and paste the settings from old phone to new phone. This is super tedious. Does anyone have a less tedious method to do this?

there are a few options. There are some 3rd party migration tools available but might not be worth the cost if there are not a lot (MigrationFX - Cisco Old Phone Migration, CUCM 15 Compatible). Another option is to export/import all settings via BAT (bulk-->import/export). There is a CSV file for the phones that is generated that you can edit accordingly. You then just need to reimport the TAR file and you are good to go. You may have associate these phones with users too if you are using any features which you can also do with this method.
Also, consider migrating to Webex Calling in the future, it will save a lot of headaches with these types of things.

Another option would be to use the Migrate Phone option that is natively in CM. It relies on having bulk phone template(s) created for the new phone model that you want to use.

If you are using CM version 12.5(1)SU3 + , consider the option below for migration as it is much easier. I don't recommend your current approach. I always prefer the highlighted option.
When Provisioning a Replacement Phone for an End User—You can choose either Retain Existing Phone(s) (default option) or Delete the Existing Phone for that End User. If the Retain Existing Phone(s) option is selected, then during migration the old phone is marked as migrated and can be filtered in the Find and List Phones page to generate migration report.
