I am on CM 8.6 and trying to do a bulk task that would change settings button access from enabled to restricted as i dont like end user to be able to see anything except user prefernces,i am pretty sure i have done this kind of change using BAT on previous versions of CM but i just dont see this when i go to BAT>update phones>select all phones>next....i see all other phone parameters like CSS,DP etc...but no settings...has Cisco moved this to somewhere else ?

any ideas??

Hi Satish,

To get to the Product Specific settings via Bat, I think it would be via

an Update with the use of a specific phone model query

So, you would query (for example) 7942's or 7965's and then you can

update the settings you need to. 1 query per phone model.

Cheers!

Hi Satish,

You are most welcome my friend

The thought here would be that not all Device Models have the exactly

= Product Specific Configuration settings. So although many of the settings

are = because they are not all = the changes cannot be done in a 'blanket"

type update.

Cheers!

You are the Man Rob !

Thanks again

its strange since "settings" exists on all phone types irrespective of model so it should ideally be search all update field.
