Shared Line behaviour on 7965 SIP

Hi,,

we are using the 8961 phones in our company. Some phones have shared lines. On these phones I can change my "identity" by pressing the line buttons. After pressing it the active line gets a blue handset symbol.

When I do this on a 7965 phone I get instantly a dial tone and I can dial a number.

Can I change the behaviour to the one like on the 8961 phones?

I'm trying to understand your request. I'm I correct in that the 8961 when a secondary line is selected it doesn't immediately go off hook, unlike the 7965 which goes immediately off hook?

@yahisiel2004: Yes that is the current behaviour.

I don't believe this is possible. The 8961 phones you have to toggle between lines then once the line is selected you can then choose to go off hook etc.
