Unable change Logo Cisco 7912 CME

Hi,

I can´t change the logo Cisco 7912 in the CME. I´ve following the configuration guide about documentation step convert the logo, to create the configuration file, to uploaded files available to the IP phones using the commands tftp-server flash, but still not work. The IP Phone reset default, then the IP Phone download the gkdefault.cfg, but don´t change the logo. Any idea?

Logo on the 7912 is not the easier task however if it doesn't work, likey there is a mistake in you configuration file or .cfg conversion process.

Dear Paolo, thanks for your answer.

The steps were the follow:

1.- I created a logo 88x27 pixels name cisco.bmp

2.- I converted using : bmp2logo 10 cisco.bmp cisco.logo

3.- I created a text file gkdefault.txt name and contain:

upgradelogo:10,0,cisco.logo

4.- I converted using : fgfmt.exe -cfgfmt gkdefault.txt gkdefault.cfg

5.- In the router flash, I created a folder 7912 name and I upload the gkdefault.cfg and cisco.logo files.

6.- I debugged the TFTP  and I saw the 7912 ask for United_States/gkdefault.cfg when go reset default (menu, **2, yes). I added two the follow command:

tftp-server flash:/7912/gkdefault.cfg alias United_States/gkdefault.cfg
tftp-server flash:/7912/cisco.logo alias United_States/cisco.logo

My doubt is How does the 7912 where is the cisco.logo file? I suspect missing something but there no document about.

More information. This is the debug with reset starting 7912. I can´t see where ask for cisco.logo file.

Hi Cristian,

have you tried resetting the gateway?  or running create cnf-files under telephony-service,  also ensure you paths are correct.

I have not check, but maybe the "10" in config file is a revision number, have you tried increasing it ?

Chances are the generate .cfg file is not valid.
