User unable to log in to Jabber "Incorrect username and Password"

Hi Guys,

I have been trying to resolve the issue with one of our employee. She is unable to Login to her Jabber ever since her profile is created. I have checked the configurations and every thing checked out. However, when trying to login she received "incorrect username and password".

What I have noticed for the user who can't log in is that User Status is "ENABLED LOCAL USER"

Enabled Local User.PNG

Whilst for the user who can log in to Jabber is "ENABLED LDAP SYNCHRONIZED USER"

Enabled LDAP SYNC.PNG

Could this be the reason why he is unable to get authentication?

Note: The user is active in Active Directory.

Thank you.

It does not matter whether the user is a LDAP synced or Local user for the jabber login.

Check below things

####

If the user who is trying to login does it appear on IMP or not ?

Compare the config of the working and non working user

Try to change the password of the user and then try logging in

Delete the Jabber cache file from the system and attemp login [Google for Jabber cache delete]

HTH

Hi @Abhay Singh Reyal thanks, I will try once the user comes online.

Is this MRA deployment or Jabber on prem.

Look in C:\Users\.....\AppData\Local\Cisco\Unified
Communications\Jabber\CSF\Logs and see what the client is saiding when
failing authentication

Hi
i have the same problem but the opposite
the LDAP synchronized users cant login but the local users can login  any suggestions ???!!!

Thanks

Check the LDAP Authentication Tab and see if the authenticated users are under the path of the authentication

If you haven't created this authentication at all - this is the problem !!!

Why do you use all caps? It’s not considered a very nice way of writing.
