Hello All,
We have some VG320 analogue gateways are part of our CUCM 11.5 platform.
Most of our setup is SIP (78XX and 88XX handsets, links to other PABX using SIP via ISR4331 CUBEs and DDI inbound and outbound using SIP from provider via CUBEs).
Our experience with the VG320's is that faxing works more reliably with SCCP than MGCP.
(We can see T.38 negotiate successfully when using MGCP but the faxes fail).
I have seen some comments in the community regarding setting up VG3XX as SIP, which may seem more sensible when using SIP in the environment.
However, I am struggling to find any information or guides about configuring the VG3XX series as SIP rather than MGCP or SCCP.
Can anyone point us in the right direction?
Would there be any difference in feature set when using SIP?
We do have some analogue phones so the supplementary features when using are useful. (e.g call transfer).
Thanks in advance.

Configuration wise I don't think there are not much difference between VG224 and VG350/VG310/320.
You can check the below sample config and that might help you.

Just to point out that MGCP does not support T.38 v3 and hence it cannot do SuperG3 (V.34) faxing. I would say this is a good reason to favour SIP over MGCP.
