Want to forward the incoming call to Mobile number or international call

mohammad saeed

Level 5

Hi Guys,

I have CUCM 8.5 with SIP trunk from SP and I have CUBE as well.

I want if some one call internal extension and there is no answer then the call forward to mobile number or international Call, Can  I configure this option inside CUCM? DO I need to do something in CUBE?

If there is any configuration document can help?

Thanks for all

Mohammad Saeed

You can do it  from from line page Call Forward and Call Pickup Settings

Example

  • Forward Busy Internal&External :- i forward it to my Mobile number, forwarding CSS i kept GSM.
  • Forward No Answer Internal& External :- i forward to an international number, forwarding CSS i kept international

.

1.PNGMost ISP drop the call if you send ANI other than the DID block and they do this for billing purpose. if the forwarded call use ANI other than your DID block, ISP will drop it.

so to avoid the above issue ,on gateway configuration page Call Routing Information - Outbound Calls i use last redirect/First redirect(depend on scenarios).

Hi Nethin,

I tried it but gives me invalid number when no answer forward!

Did you configured correct CSS for forwarding ? Does the forwarded call Hit gateway ?

Yes I have Mobile CSS and I am using it to make a mobile call and it works with me. Is it enough? or need to do another else?

Yes it hits the GW and I see this error "Address incomplete"

If supported by your service provider add a Diversion header to the outbound invite. Quite often that is required for the SP to accept the call if it comes from a out of DDI range number.

ITSPs vary wildly in their requirements for forwarded calls, very little consistency in which headers are required and what these headers should contain.  Can you post up SIP message debugs "debug ccsip mess"?  But before that, enable diversion headers on the CUCM to CUBE SIP trunk as suggested.

Just so we're clear on number formats, can you also post up example Invite for a working inbound call, and a working outbound.

I enabled in CUCM:
Redirecting Diversion Header Delivery - Inbound

Redirecting Diversion Header Delivery - Outbound

That looks like an excerpt from a SIP Profile on the CUBE in which case you're leaving us behind.  Can you post an example of the outbound Invite as it is sent without the SIP Profile applied, and explain which headers you want to change and what changes are needed?

FYI typically if an ISTP requires the Diversion header, you want "From" to be the original inbound caller, "To" and the uri itself the redirected destination (the number you're forwarding to) and the number in Diversion should be one of your inbound DDIs.

However ITSP requirement differ so this is all guesswork especially as you haven't named the ISTP involved.  What I described is what AT&T want in the US.  But that would not be correct for example for Gamma in the UK who use PAI instead.

I made a debug for ccsip message:

I don't have SIP profile applied in CUBE only what applied is in the diversion header in CUCM for inbound and outbound until this moment.

At a guess, the Diversion header needs to have your full external number.  Currently you're sending ...

Diversion: <sip:6152@10.60.2.10>;privacy=off;reason=unconditional;screen=yes

I suspect they want to see ..

Diversion: <sip:5386152@10.60.2.10>;privacy=off;reason=unconditional;screen=yes

Although they may have other requirements.

Difficult to be more specific without knowing the country and the carrier.  I was trying to guess but I can't off the top of my head think of a country with seven digit national numbers starting with "5".
