I would like to install a Unity server on a network system which has AD and Exchange 2000 server installed already. In the network, only one DC server and one Exchange 2000 server are running. So, can I install a Unity server on the network without re-installing the exsiting exchange 2000 server?

Absolutely, Unity 3.0 does not require Exchange on-box. Just install the new Unity server, and 'point' it at the existing Exchange server in the Configuration Setup.
