Hi All,
I have a customer who has 2 sites which are 5 KM apart. He has only a plain telephone copper wire between these 2 office. He doesnot have any other media.
He wants to connect these 2 offices via telephone wire. Can we use an ADSL router to achieve it. We will set up to ADSL routers on each side and then have LAN switch connected to the routers to have the LAN to lan connectivity to other building. is it possible ?

I could be wrong but I think you would need some sort of DSLAM on the one side and then the DSL router on the other. Is this a dry pair meaning you own it end to end and it has no voice services on it.
At my old job, we did this by using a DSLAM at the central data center and a modem at the remote office but owned everything between the central location and remote office about 5km away.
Campus was about 50 miles in diameter.
