The UC 500 Software Packs bundle all the necessary files for the UC 500 Series platform. The files include UC 500 IOS image, voicemail and automated attendant CUE software, IP Phone firmware files, and multiple TAR/archive files for various components of the UC 500 (for example vlan information, default configuration files for each product SKU, ringer files for IP Phones, music-on-hold files, background images for colored IP Phones, etc.). The UC 500 Software Packs are thoroughly tested with CCA releases and are pre-installed on UC 500 shipped from Cisco.
For any questions relating to the UC 500 Software Packs please email uc500-swp@cisco.com.

A UC 500 Software Pack contains a bundle of various software components resulting to a large zip file - E.g. 300MB. To validate the integrity of the Software Pack before use with CCA the checksum of the Software Pack can be compared to the MD5 checksum posted here. A program like FSUM can be used to compute the checksum-

11-30-2010 - Software Pack 8.0.5 and the corresponding CUE localization files have been posted on the Support Community and CCO. SWP 8.0.2 and 8.0.4 along with the corresponding localization files will be removed from the Support Community on 12-3-2010. If these files are needed after their removal they can still be downloaded from CCO, or email uc500-swp@cisco.com to request the specific files needed.
WoW.. a lot of complaing! We sell a lot of UC500's. The last firmware seems very stable. Just not the SPA phones but if you download the lastes firmwars for the phone which seems to fix a lot of issues that we were seeing with thoses phone. But the only feature i i'm hopping to get is SSL vpn for the 7900 phones!!! But my true love is still for full CME products / you get the full features now and not be 1+ year behind CME!
It's June 4th! I've emailed you all early this morning about the release time and haven't received a response yet. Any idea as to what time it will be posted? Hopefully it's not delayed again :S
Looks to be available now on CCO:

can we have multisite calling on UC5xx with the support of 99xx phones.
Can someone point me to the right path; we ned to upgrade from 12.4(22) YB4 of our UC520 to 8.6. I know there will be many steps but I couldn't find a good path. We are so behind because the version we have has been rock solid for years. Thanks in advance,
Bob James
I have a system that is currently running:
Cisco UC520-24U-8FXO-K9
UC500 Software (UC500-ADVIPSERVICESK9-M), Version 12.4(22)YB
CME Version 7.1
CUE 3.0
Can it be upgraded to the lastest SWP and what is the best process to do so?
The office use the IP Communicator and CallConnector for all users, 64bit. Have there been any known issues with these with the latest release?
Thanks,
Dear Sir;
Best place to start is https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-9829
You would need CCA 3.2.2 to upgrade. This is the best way to do it.
Regards;
Alberto
Alberto, i think you mean CCA 3.2.1 (which is the latest at this time)
I am having an issue with logging into EM as well as dropped calls on my 7941's and 7970's. I have a UC520 box and brought everything to most recent versions on the Matrix including the phones on 9.1.1 , now I am being told by TAC that I need to downgrade the firmware to 8.5.3 on the phones. However if I downgrade the firmware, that will make the CME, CUE and IOS incompatible with the phones firmware. Has anyone else had this problem?

There is no strict compatibility issue between phone firmware and anything else. You can mix and match as needed.

Perfect info! Thank You so much!

Hello,
Does the Cisco 8941/8945 phones work on the UC560 ?
On the CUCM itself it works and is supported.
If it is not supported at this time, do the phones work if we configure them manually in CLI ?
I guess yes but just in case someone has experience in this.
Thanks
Please post questions in discussions, not documents.
Hello,
EDIT: never mind found it myself: https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-26978
can you tell us about the changes / fixes introduced by the software pack 8.6.1?
Will there be support for the SPA500DS attendant console within the updated CCA?
regards
Fabian
