Persistent Collector File Import Failure

Hi folks,

I have attempted to import collector inventory files for 4 existing inventories and one new inventory, but each and every time the following error message is presented:

"Import Errors: Operation could not be completed [Unable to perform the operation = File Import failed.  Data is not valid for the Customer.]"

What can be done to correct this error?

Thanks Graham,

I am able to see the upload that you are rerefencing under the "upload processing" menu.

What I think might be happening is that you don't have the "all inventories" checkbox selected.

Please enable the "all inventories" checkbox and then navigate to the "upload processing" tab and the upload should be listed there.

Regards,

Cesar

There was issue with certain back-end component, it is now fixed. Could you please re-try the file import? Apologies for the inconvenience, and please let us know if you see any issue further.

Hello Graham,

The issue should be resolved now, you may try file import and let us know if you face any errors.

Suchita

Hi Suchita,

I see that uploads have been received (and processing started) for the 4 collectors that have previous inventory data, but the file for the 'new' collector is not shown as being received.

Rgds,

Graham

Hello Graham,

Can you please indicate which appliance ID you are referring to as the "new" collector? In addition, did you happen to change the inventory name to something other than was specified during the collector creation?

Please provide the last 4 digits of your appliance ID and confirm if the name that you tried to use is different from the one specified under the "All collectors tab".

Cesar

Hi Cesar,

This appears to be a bug, as the first time I select 'all inventories' it doesn't show but if I select 'all inventories' a second time only then it is shown.

If you would like me to show it via a WebEx session, just let me know.

Rgds,

Graham

Hi Graham,

No need, I'll pass along your feedback to the backend team. I am glad you are able to see your uploads.

Cesar
