As per my understanding :
- when we have a maintenance contract
BB - when you have maintenance contract depends on what you signed for
- help you to raise an ticket with TAC for issues and bugs
- any falures of components or malfunction you can replace kit by raising TAC with RMA
- it will help you lot and hassle free.
- when we do not have
BB - you do not have ability to perform above mentioned support.
- still you can download IOS upgrade for the version you have purchased. Perpertual License still stay with device.
- Smart License - different moving forward.
