Multi-link FCIP Configuration without Port Channel
We have backup servers and tape drives across two data centers and 2 MDS 9513 directors that need to communicate locally and remotely. We currently have 1 FCIP link between sites, but need to increase bandwidth. We want to add 3 additional FCIP links.
Our understanding is that with our licenses we can only enable tape acceleration over FCIP if we do not use port channels, but instead have individual links. The challenge is this forces us to use a different transit vsan for each link and split tape drives across different vsans in order to force traffic to route across all 4 links. We have attempted to design a configuration and would appreciate any feedback on whether it will work or if there is a better design.
Will the following allow the backup server to access tapes on each vsan locally and tapes on each vsan at the remote site while routing traffic across all 4 FCIP links appropriately? Thanks!
200,300,500,600 (assume that each of the 4 FCIP interfaces is assigned to a different transit vsan)
