Try performing a hard reboot (pull the power cable).
If things don't improve, contact TAC and organize for an RMA.

i tried. but looks that this cannot solve the issue. seems i will have to open a TAC support.

I have same problem with you. Are you have solution for this

previous running IOS version was 15.2.5E, running under bundled mode.

i just downloaded 15.2.7 via TFTP, and set boot system with this version, then performed reloading.

after that, the switch always hangs at testing memory, so unlucky....

Another bad day..time for RMA if you have contract.

Same here with 15.2.7E1, new release.  Bricked two so far, not loading another.  These are new out of box, updating to latest release per Cisco.  Going back to 15.2-7.E0a

Console into the switch and reboot.
Post the entire boot-up process (with the new firmware) so we can see what the switch is doing.

Whats to post - it hangs at the 5th line displayed Testing Memory....  There is no "boot process".  It also won't respond to attempts to boot into ROMON.

Of the 7 NIB 2960X-48TD-L received yesterday - one failed on update, two others are BOOT FAIL out of the box and those also won't respond to any attempt to access ROMON.  DOA.

I will add that I'm loading 15.2.7.E0a on these and after the update they are coming up BOOT FAIL.  However, after a power cycle, they are booting normally on the new IOS.  The ones that work, anyway.

In response to the boot query

CPU rev: B

Board rev: 5

Testing Memory from 0x00000000 to 0x1fffffff.../ <---done here

just to understand is this new device ? or upgraded IOS ?

Stupid question: Have you tried pulling the power (and not the "reload" command)?
