C2960 port settings to match MOXA EDS-208A unmanaged switch

Hi

I'm looking for help to set correct port settings on C2960 to match MOXA EDS-208A unmanaged switch.

We replaced MOXA with Cisco WS-C2960L-24TS-LL and after this we experience disconection on our industrial devices.

Before an upgrade on MOXA switch everything was working perfectly.

Settings for ports are:

switch port mode access

spanning-tree port fast edge

All other settings are left in auto: speed ad duplex.

MOXA switch properties:

All models support:
Auto negotiation speed
Full/Half duplex mode
Auto MDI/MDI-X connection

IEEE 802.3u for 100BaseT(X) and 100BaseFX
IEEE 802.3x for flow control

MAC Table Size   -  2 K

Packet Buffer Size  -  768 kbits

Processing Type  -  Store and Forward

Could you please advise what settings we should apply for ports at C2960 to match MOXA switch settings?

Thanks

 - Depends , do you need a trunk link between the Moxa and Cisco , if so check this thread : https://community.cisco.com/t5/switching/cisco-l3-switch-communication-with-moxa-industrial-swi/td-p/3946011

Sorry I meant we repalce MOXA with Cisco switch and now we are facing issiues with disconnections with our devices.

what is the end device ? what you see Logs on the cisco switch (show logging will give you information)

we are facing issiues with disconnections with our devices

All the ports or any specific :  ( are you using VLAN 1 or any other VLAN ?)

show run (post complete config ) make sure VTP is of and more transparent.

This should work :

interface  x/x

switchport mode access

switchport access vlan x  (this is for the device to be in that VLAN)

If the device speed is 10 or 100MB, try manually binding speed to specific and test 1 or 2 device before you deploy all.

Please see below config,

the problem is logging is not showing disconnections, only our end devices are. But this was not happeing while connected to MOXA. End devices are PLC controllers

Could it be something with EEE status- energy saver option? Should I disable it?

                     - Depends on what problems you are currently experiencing (?)

PLC controllers are loosing connections with rest of the network, and it is just for a few seconds or even miliseconds.

We did one more test, we connect 6 PLC controllers to MOXA EDS-208A and then one patch cable to CISCO C2960 switch, and with this setup we did not experience any disconnection.

So I think it most be something with cisco port or switch settings.

Second test was to bind the speed 100 instead on auto to each port on Cisco with PLC controllers connected directly to ports 1 to 6 but the disconnections were still happening.

We did test with flow control ON, still disconnections.

 - Check port counters on the involved interfaces on the cisco switch. You may also configure logging event link-status on the ports were the PLC controllers are connected , and use a syslog-server , to get an overview logs send by the cisco switch.
