Console Access??

Friends,

I have a linksys SRW224p model switch,i m not able to access the console,I m accessing as per the attached document,But still  i m not able to access,

On switch it is a serial port i  m accessing through my USB to serial cable (male connector ) from this end serial (female) to serial (female) which goes ion switch.

computer USB---->serial (male)-->serial (female)---->female---->switch

                           1 cable                          2 Cable

what are the possible issues that i m not able to access,I have selected a proper COM port by seeing in device manager, my cable's are also OK they are working with HP and Cisco switches,I have checked all the baud rate and flow is none,

Any other possible hints,

i also use usb to access my router and switch. my com port is com12.  which COM port you are using?( should be higher COM port )
