NEXUS compatible Transciever

Hello,
2 nexus 3k in VPC configuration.
Someone can explain why non-Cisco Transcivers are sometimes accepted and sometimes rejected as "not supported"?
And I'm talking about the exact same Transceiver model (HP): 2 or 3 of them do work, others don't

Here's what works:

CORE-B1# sh int eth 1/35 transceiver
Ethernet1/35
transceiver is present
type is 1000base-SX
name is Ligent Photonics
part number is LTD8512-BC
revision is V1.0
serial number is CN5BHGMNNH
nominal bitrate is 1300 MBit/sec
cisco id is 3
cisco extended id number is 4

depends on version code, but most does with below command :

Nexus(config)# Inter e1/35

Nexus(config-if)# service unsupported-transceiver

Also if this is 10GB ports, some time setting up the speed also helps

Note : Cisco TAC do not support if any issue related the interface issue.

@Claudio Battan : Can you share the part code number of the Transreceiver you are using. Most of the time it's detectable but not supported.
