I have been trying to reset a password on a Cisco SG350-52P without doing a factory reset, I found this link
Administrator Password Recovery for 300, 350, 500 and 550 Series Switches - Cisco
But it did not work on the Cisco SG350-52P it wouldn't even give the option of going to the start up menu. is there any way to reset the password without wiping the switch, resetting to factory defaults and reconfiguring

@janelle.provine hi, try hard rest using reset button. that will reset whole switch.

As I specifically mentioned in my post I know that using the reset button will reset the password as well as the switch configuration, I was looking for a way to reset the password without resetting the configuration

Are you able to get to step-2 to press Esc or Enter?

no it never gets to step 2 or the cisco logo which is when you are supposed to be able to enter return/enter and or esc. I rebooted several times

Don't reboot. Try turning off the switch completely, wait 30 seconds then plug in the power cord and you only have a few seconds to press Esc or Enter key.

That is all I have been doing it unplugging and replugging it in since I have no password to login to it at all and hitting esc/enter or return none of it has worked
