Hi All,
We have had a interface to WAN drop. When checking the SFP module on 9200L switch the port flashes green then goes solid green. It keeps alternating between these states. Any ideas?
This is a previously working port and no config has been changed.
Chris.

Does the "show logging" give any useful information? Have you tried swapping the SFP?

Its a 1GB standard MM fibre module. Nothing special
The log reveals nothing.
This has been working for around 18months with no issues.

Can you share the configuration on that port also show interface x/x to see the drops.

Put the complete output to the command "sh interface <BLAH> controll" into a text file and attach the file.

what device connected to that port, what SFP installed on that port.

Do you see any performance issue, or you worried about LED status ?
check the LED status and behaviour :
Other side check the Logs any other information can be found due to errors.

Its the providers router connected to the port in question (Ciena Router) but the circuit has been working for 18months.
no switchport
ip address x.x.x.x
ntp disable
end
Running 'sh ip arp' doesnt show the expected IP address with entry for the the other side of the fibre.
At the moment I am thinking it's the service providers kit and they are sending out a replacement with engineer.
Thanks for the link to the LED status sheet, I have already seen this one but curious as mine is flashing green then going solid and alternating.
regards,
Chris.
