Hello everyone,
I want to set up an IVR or announcement system on Call Manager.
My goal is; that when an internal or external number is called, an announcement should be heard beforehand.
After the announcement, the number should ring within 2~3 seconds.
Call Number (Ex; 5999) --> Announcement --> Dial Number (5999)
Is it possible to do this only on Call Manager?
Regards

Maybe something like this could work for you? https://community.cisco.com/t5/unified-communications-infrastructure/cucm-11-0-hunt-pilot-queue-custom-initial-announcement-not/td-p/4008782

You need to send the call to Unity and then to the extensions you need. However, if you use the same number, it can cause a loop. Unity can play whatever message you need to play.

Hi Nithin, Thanks for the answer. But I need a simple solution. Also, We don't have any voicemail or the same applications. We just want do that; I am calling a directory number; I need to hear an announcement before ringing. After the announcement, the call must ring.

Hello Roger, Your suggestion worked. It worked except 1~2 things. I tried it on CUCM v14 unrestriction. There was no announcement in this version. But it was successful in the CUCM v15 restriction version. I don't have any idea Why. Also, They want an exceptional WAV format. Regards.

The WAV file format is specific, but not particularly special. If you need to convert an audio file to a format that can be used for CUCM or CUC, go to https://g711.org and convert your file to the "Standard Definition 16-bit WAV (8Khz, Mono, 16-Bit PCM)" format. This can take pretty much any audio file and convert it to a usable format.

Hello Maren; Thanks for your recommendation. I have used the NCH tools for many years. Especially, the Switch Sound File Converter is very fine. I will try g711.org. Thanks a lot.

In that case, you need to go with the option that @Roger Kallberg mentioned. You need to use the Hunt Group feature for this. This would be the most simple solution that plays a message instead of the ringtone for you.
