Hi,

I have backed one existing cluster , (one pub and sub) .(192.168.2.x)

Now I made another vm for cucm (only one machine ) .(192.168.10.x) I just want to do a restore test

,But I don't want the same ip (192.168.2.x)

How can I do this

Thanks

You canā€™t. All platform/OS details must be identical to perform a restore. Youā€™ll have to build an ā€œislandā€ environment with the same subnet, DNS, & NTP (the installer validates all of this during initial install) before you can restore. Personally, I just spin up a Catalyst 8000v virtual router and spoof all of those services locally from the router loopback interfaces.

Simple answer, you can't. To do a restore the name and IP information needs to be exactly the same. This is outlined in details in documentation. If you need to do a restore test you should do that on a VM that resides in an isolated network so that you can have the same IP address on it as your production instance.

IP Address, hostname, and version of CUCM should be matched before restoring the process

So as @Roger Kallberg says that you can do the test for restoring in an isolated network
