Hi there,
on CM when we add an extension normally we put a descrption for the phone such as the person name or the department like "Lab results, Technic" ..etc, but on our intranet when we check phone directories shows the descrption that I put on the CM and location.
here is the question where the location info come from?

Where did you get this directory out put. The screenshot your shared doesn't look like from phone directories

Depending on how that list is generated - what application is looking at what information in CUCM - the answer could vary.
But within CUCM calling information is generally influenced by three things:
So, take a look at the End User accounts for DNs in the list and see if the Department field is populating your directory.
