I have a sip trunk from Thinktel and have no credentials required. It was configured on 3cx phone system and now I moving it to Cisco ISR 4321 and CUCM.
I'm having difficulties trying to make inbound and outbound calls to work, it's always fast busy tone. Any help would be appreciated.
For Outbound calls - I'm getting SIP/2.0 408 Request Timeout and Q.850;cause=102
For Inbound calls - for some reason, I can't get any trace at all when I call the DID number.
Call Flow

- registrar server
The first one is under sip-ua and the second is under voice service voip / sip. Likely you can also remove this sip-server dns:tor.trk.tprm.ca from sip-ua.
Once done with these changes please post your current configuration so that we can verify it.
I added some of the commands but not all yet.
I still can't make an inbound and outbound calls, same issue.

In the debug we can see that you are sending 3 invites to the telco, but you are not getting any reply. You need to check again with them if they send anything back to you. If they do you need to check your internet gateway so that it allows the traffic.

Hi @JH51928
As @Roger Kallberg mentioned, you are not getting any response for your invite from the ITSP side to the CUBE. Please check your firewall settings and ensure that it is not blocking anything?

The ports 5060 and 16384-32766 have been forwarded already to 172.16.16.20 (cube interface Gib0/0/0)
I've even disabled the sip-alg on the internet router and I still can't get any traces on inbound call.
I'll contact itsp first thing tomorrow to see what;s going on.

Hi there,
Some great advice from Roger here, but I just want to circle back to your original point re the inbound calls "For Inbound calls - for some reason, I can't get any trace at all when I call the DID number."
Can you clarify what you mean by that? Are you running a debug ccsip messages and you're not seeing output on your CUBE when you make an inbound call? If you are not seeing any SIP messaging delivered to your CUBE when you're making incoming calls, then you would need to raise that with your ITSP.

I called the ITSP several times about the inbound call. I even requested to look for traces if the call is going on their end, he tried to look for traces and didn't find any. I asked him why he can't find it, he replied that I should ask cisco about my configuration, because they are not getting any traces of the call. I've got confused, the call should go to ITSP first, I don't know why he said that.
I stopped working on this, the ITSP does not want to help, he does not even provide traces.
About the outbound call, I found out a guide on the internet about it. They have preferred sip profiles that is why my outbound calls are always busy/rejected.

Hi there,
Forgot about this one!
Not sure if you still have the appetite for it or not, but during the troubleshooting have you verified if you're seeing any traffic on your TP-Link router when you make an inbound or outbound call over the SIP trunk? This would be handy certainly for inbound because if the ITSP have done their job, you should be seeing inbound attempts from their SBC to your TP-Link on UDP port 5060.If you're not seeing that and your logging is operational, escalate it.
