Unity 11.5 data export COP

Remington

I am trying to find the correct download for the Unity 11.5 COP file to enable "utils system upgrade dataexport initiate". I attempted to install the file from ciscocm.DataExport_v4.0.zip, but am getting an error message saying, "This cop file is not applicable on this product (connection)." Any suggestion? Thanks.

as per the read me file on the unity connection COP-File folder https://software.cisco.com/download/home/286328409/type/286319537/release/COP-Files It states that the data export can be installed on the CUC

The README explains this, did you review it?

Important Note:
1. The v1 DataExport COP files (ciscocm.DataExport_v1.0.cop and
ciscocm.DataExport_rollback_v1.0.cop) are installable on source releases from 10.5 to all pre 14 UCM
releases.
2. Since “Fresh Install with Data Import” feature is now supported on 12.5SU5 UCM release, v2 COP files
are available (ciscocm.DataExport_v2.0.cop and ciscocm.DataExport_rollback_v2.0.cop) which are
installable on source releases 10.5, 11x, 12x up to 12.5 SU4.

Installation Instructions:
As with any installation or upgrade, it is recommended that you apply this Update during off peak hours.
Install the cop file on the Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Cisco Unified Communications
Manager IM and Presence only.

The CUC documentation covers the upgrade options, and this one is not listed as one, your options are DRS or COBRAS, have you reviewed the Install, Upgrade and Maintenance Guide for Cisco Unity Connection guides? if not, that's your first step.

Hi @Remington ,

Could you please share the output of the "show version active" and "show version inactive" from your CUC CLI?  also it would be great if you could extract the install log file as it may contain additional information about the error.

Regards

I installed the COP file you had linked in this post, and it was what I needed. Thank you.

Your actual problem was that you were trying to use the COP intended for CUCM. For the CUC, there is a different COP to export the data. The one you used Now is the correct one, and that’s why it went through.

Yes, I understand that. @Jaime Valencia highlighted that in the readme and @Shalid Kurunnan Chalil provided a link for the COP I needed.

I did not, I was using documentation from a consultant. I will follow up with them.
Thank you for informing me.

I’ve used this option to export the CUC data three to four times. I prefer this method for CUC because PCD doesn’t support migrations. The command should function properly if you’re using version 11.5 or above. The cop file used is ciscocm.cuc_DataExport_v1.1.zip.

Could you please tell me your CUC version?

Hi, Anyone have tried to export from  CUC 11.0 ?

I know that in readme  it says Important Note:  This cop is installable for source releases 11.5.x, 12.0.x to pre 12.5SU5 and 14FCS.  But some lines below it  also says on instalation instructions  that Since this is a release key signed cop, So installation of “ciscocm.enable-sha512sum-v1.0.cop.sgn” COP is required before installing this data export COP file
“ciscocm.cuc_DataExport_v1.1.k4.cop.sha512” on the below mentioned Cisco Unity Connection
versions:
o 11.0.x to pre 11.5SU10 and 12.0.x to pre 12.5SU4

So i don't know if it will work or not...

Thanks.

Best regads,

MC

If your version cannot read sha512, you will need to install that COP file first. After it has been installed and it can read the sha512 you can install the data export COP and it will work.

I have this installed and working on 10.5.

@Remington ,

Didn't you received the following error when you installed on 10.5?  It seems it install but i'm afraid of the impact of running the data export if not compatible...

10/28/2024 07:29:07 Validating version compatability.
10/28/2024 07:29:07 Current active version is 11.0.1.22900-14
10/28/2024 07:29:07 This COP file is applicable only to Cisco Unity Connection 11.5.x to pre 12.5.1SU5 and 14FCS Releases. The version deployed on the server is (11.0.1.22900-14).

Locale ciscocm.cuc_DataExport_v1.1.k4.cop has been installed successfully. A reboot is not necessary for the changes to take effect.

You can only install the COP on versions 11.5 and 12.x up to 12.5.1SU5. If you are on version 11.0, this will not work. Upgrade Unity to 11.5 and export the data. That’s what I did with a customer.
