Hi
I have an UCS C220 M3S, when I try to update the CIMC from 1.5(7f) to 3.0.3e it gave me the green screen NO Signal I checked all the cards and they are proprely seated .plz can you help me.

I do not believe a CIMC upgrade from 1.5 to 3.0 is supported. You would need to jump to a 2.0.X release first.
The screen is likely "no signal" because the BIOS is not in sync with CIMC. Did the BIOS upgrade as well?
Can you roll back to 2.0.6 (CIMC and BIOS) and see if the issue persist?

Hi again
I tried to upgrade to 2.0.6f and 2.0.6d but always the same problem "NO Signal" and the screen become green

Did the BIOS upgrade? What version is the BIOS?
What method are you using to conduct the upgrade procedure? If not HUU, try that.

Hi Wes
these are the bios and cimc version
and I used the same method like you sent me , and the iso image that I used is ucs-c220-huu-2.0.6d.iso
But I had the same problem :(

The upgrade did not complete. Did you select the update all option from the HUU? The CIMC and BIOS versions are incorrect. If you would like to have a look at what the proper running versions should be, there is a Firmware Files subsection of the release notes which will indicate what firmware each component should be running if the HUU completes as normal.
The green screen typically also indicates a server that is not booted as well. I would suggest attempting to boot the server from the CIMC WebUI. I would also suggest re-trying the HUU upgrade to the 2.0 version as it appears not to have been properly completed.
Thanks!

Hi Evan
I boot as you said via CIMC WebUI , but the problem is the same, "No Signal" .
one thing is that this problem come before to start any upgrade , just after the boot with the iso image on this step see the pic, during this step the screen become green, before to log on the upgrade utility.

Are you able to boot into the OS or are you unable to boot this server successfully in any way?

Hi Evan
Yes I am able to boot the OS, just for your info, I have 3 server with vmware in cluster, I made the update for 2 of them without any problem , but the third has this problem.

At this point I believe it would be valuable to open a ticket to have the server reviewed. I'm not sure that any further advice at this point through the forum will be the best path forward. An SR will allow you to engage with one of our CSEs directly to help analyze the situation and provide a solution.
Thanks! Have a great week!
