Clear fault in UCS

Hi

I have 24 warnings, that I can't clear.

These warnings is from when our consultant configure UCS for us.

I just want to delete them, but the only thing it seems I can do is do acknowledge them.

Can someone please tell how to delete/clear these messages?

Or is it something else I have to do to remove these messages? See attachment.

Thx

Hi Stig,

You are hitting the following cosmetic bug:

CSCtl88314    False "Policy reference solPolicyName does not resolve to named policy"

Here are the details and the workaround the same:

Symptom:

See the following fault "F4525253 - Policy reference solPolicyName does not resolve to named policy"

Conditions:

If you create a Service Profile and do not specify a solPolicyName.  It will assign "default" to the service profile for this setting.   Since there is no default solPolicyName configured it will cause this error.

Workaround:
Please update to release 2.0(1.x) or you can create Serial Over Lan Policy and assign it the Service Profile it will clear this fault.
You can also create a new Serial Over Lan Policy called "default" which will resolve this issue for all blades involved.

Hope this helps!

Regards,

Updated UCS Infrastructure to 2.1(3a) still having same issue:

"Policy reference authProfileName does not resolve to named policy"

I'm using iSCSI with no authentication and I'm not planning to add authentication. Create an authentication profile without user/password is not allowed.

Is there no way to solve it?

Thank's

Simon

Using 4.0(2a) and still getting the same issue.

Is the workaround for the above still valid for this release?

Doubtful that the same 7-year-old bug / issue is being hit.

Likely some policy was deleted and needs to be re-created.

Commonly old firmware packages are deleted to free up space, but some (unused) Host Firmware Package policy is still pointing to the old firmware. If this is the case, simply find the old policy and make sure it isn't actively in use (via [Show Policy Usage]) and delete the policy.

Post a new topic showing (screenshot of) the faults you are seeing.

thanks that fixed my issue!

I got the error code F14527407 "Policy reference nwTemplName preTemplateName does not resolve to named policy" It was due to one of the hba policy not assigned when i created the service profile template.

After assigning the hba policy to the service profile template (updating template) All the warning were cleared and it did not reboot any of the hosts to make the changes.
