Greetings,
So we have 3 UCS that have a FC HBA card installed, but when you check the PCI Adapters tab in the CIMC, this slot appears as "Not Loaded" in the Option ROM Status
Weirdly enough, when you check the BIOS Parameter configuration you see that the "PCIe Slot:1 Option ROM" appears as Disabled, even though the "All PCIe Slots OptionROM" is Enabled
If I enable the PCI Slot 1, it would work?
It is weird because I can see the UCS servers from the Fibre Switch but I can't link the ESXi to the FC storage
Thanks

Since you have explicitly "disable" the PCIe slot, you have to set it enabled. Till the time option ROM is not enabled, it will not look for LUNs, but you will be seeing WWNs on SAN switch.
Please rate if you find it helpful.

MJ

The server must be powered on, or the properties will not display.
Procedure
Command or Action Purpose
Step 1 Server# scope chassis Enters the chassis command mode.
Step 2 Server /chassis # show pci-adapter [detail]
Displays PCI adapter properties.
This example displays PCI adapter properties:
Server# scope chassis
Server /chassis # show pci-adapter
