Can you confirm you are using Windows 2008 R2 SP1? It is the only supported Windows 2008 release per:

http://www.cisco.com/web/techdoc/ucs/interoperability/matrix/matrix.html

Does this work on other servers that have the same hardware/software combo?

Hi, Wesley Austin,

Yes i confirm : Windows 2008 SRV R2 sp1 64Bits

how is it goingļ¼Ÿ

check my case

And for your question :

Does this work on other servers that have the same hardware/software combo?

--->> No, this is the first time we buy and configure on CISCO equipment. But we bought 7 servers and it is the first that we configure.

Greetings.

It appears you are trying to install Windows 2008 to a 7.4TB boot volume.

This requires using GPT volume and UEFI, which I think 2008 supports.

You will need to make sure your boot options have UEFI enabled.

Thanks,

Kirk...

Hi, Kirk,

Thank you I'll test this solution tomorrow.

Hi Kirk,

All is UEFI (see the screenshot)

But no change.

I also made the Desktop copy installing windows 2008 srv.

Hi there,

small question. is that installation media ready for GPT partitions?

How many disks you have in server? are you using raid? if so what is the level and raid card you are using (the model number you can find in cimc inventory)?

can you try with upgrading CIMC and Firmware of the UCS for latest?

check version and drivers from here.

https://ucshcltool.cloudapps.cisco.com/public/#

I can't upgrading for the moment. The serveur are one of the latest version of firmware.

Can you explain for the boot device I searched but I did not find the option to force CIMC ?

Hi,

check the attachment for set Boot settings in CIMC. check whether you have correct boot mode (legacy or UEFI). ad set boot order to raid card.

also i found this artical which may help you.
