CME management has been removed from the CUE GUI as of CUE 8.0. Take a look at the following link.

Hope this helps.

Hi Brandon,

You've done alot of work on getting this question answered ..accolades for the help it's much appreciated and recognised.

I have not read this thread in alot of detail at this stage but might the SNR issue be caused by lack of mobility button assigned to the softkeys via  a ephone-template.... worth a try.I hope my suggestion isn't a distraction.

You are absolutely right. I should have asked the question earlier. You will need another line to make this work.

Thanks for reply,

you got my point. now my question is once i set up my telephoney service wizard add all users, phones, extension. Apply all the setting to CME.

the only way to change extension, button or number is through CLI and CCP ??????? because i cant add any extension through CCA .

Thanks.........................

You can add an extension through CLI,  CCA, CCP and the CME GUI.

Brandon

how can i add extension once the telephony set up wizard is done. if i want to add any extension, set to factory default for telephony wizard. i tried to configure extension through CCP it gives me warning that hardware is not supported. i have uc 520. can you plz provide a link or document regarding how to add extension through CCA,CCP and CME GUI???? I really appriciate your help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks,

Abhishek Shah

Go to Configure > Telephony > Voice in CCA. See the CCA admin guide.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/cisco_configuration_assistant/version2_2_2/administration_guide/cca_222_sbcs_admin_guide.pdf

Finally all set with the extension, appriciate your reply.....everytime work awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...Now i am try to configure SNR.

I enabled SNR through CCA. then go through CLI here is my config

ephone-dn 21 dual line

number 1001 no-reg primary

label 1001

mobility

snr 92035995029 delay 5 timeout 30

ephone 6

mac add xxxx.xxxx.xxxx

button 1:21

Do i have to add snr number as a secondary number in CUE GUI in extension profile..........

I set an auto attadent script for my inbound call. when i call from my phone to extension 1001, it rings for few seconds and call gets terminated>>>>

dont know the reason........i found the cisco document how to configure snr, but still not working...................

here is the link to cisco document....

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/admin/configuration/guide/cmesnr.pdf

thanks...............

You do not need to add the SNR number as a secondary number. Does the remote phone ever ring? Can you enable "debug voice ccapi inout", make the call and post the results?

David,

Not a distraction at all. I wasn't aware that the mobility button was a requirement for SNR to work, but you may be right. Will be interesting to see if this fixes the problem. Thanks for the suggestion.

Brandon

Hi david

Thanks for interest in my conversation with  brandon. I add the templete, i have the option on my IP phone.

Hi brandon,

Yes you are right with the secondary number, it doesnt make any sense. i deleted the secondary extension. now when i make call from IP phone to that extension, the associated IP phone with that extension and mobile phone rings which is good.........But the problem is when i am calling out side of my system only the IP phone rings for few seconds and call gets termimated...I am not allow to use debug ..................so cant send it to u....hope u understend.............i guess some thing is missing in CLI...

Thanks,

Abhishek

It's possible that your telco is blocking the call because the outgoing caller ID is not a number that you own. You could try this command:

ephone-dn 21 dual line

snr calling-number local

Hope this helps.
