Is it possible and supported to have multiple SPA525G phones at a remote site of an SBCS UC500 deployment with only a basic DSL modem/ switch and not a full blown security router (ASA, SR520, etc) at the other end?

Hello,
Yes it is supported as these phones connect individually to the UC and are creating their own VPN tunnels.
You may use up to 10 on UC540 and up to 20 on 560.

Hi There,
just to add further to what Alexandra has already stated, you should also make sure that your router can support VPN passthrough or at the very list VPN ALG's, this way it should work more smoother
