Dear Cisco Community,
I have deployed 2 APs of model AIR-AP1832i-E-K9 on a client network but the Aps are not joining the controller. WLC Model is 2504 and Software version: 8.0.121.0
DHCP is enabled on the network as well as option 43. WLC is reacheable when i ping its ip add from the AP.
I also tried to configure wlc ip address on the APs, but it did not work.
AP port config on the switch:
interface FastEthernet0/16
switchport access vlan 100
switchport voice vlan 101
spanning-tree portfast
!
Attached is the AP output.

Hi @Tosin Ola
You need to update your WLC at least at 8.1.22. Go for a upper version, check the last stable version for you WLC.
For more reference check this link.

@daniel: Is there any other workaround apart from updating wlc?
I can only ping the controller from the network switch not from AP.
AP connection to controller is not reachable

Hi @Tosin Ola
Actually you need to update the WLC not the APs, the matrix shows you the minimun version, so if you can reach your 2504 you can update.

Please the version of our AP (AIR-AP1832i-E-K9 ) is 8.5.140.0 and
WLC 2504 version is 8.0.121.0
My question is which version of wlc will i upgarde to
1) that will work with my access Points (AIR-AP1832i-E-K9)
2) Also work with existing APs on the network of 1700 and 2600 series
I will appreciate your response.
Thanks in advance
