Which interface on the WLC do I have to configure to make a connection from my laptop to the WLC

I am unable to set the web authencation. I have a 4402 and 1130abg I am using the controller's page for auth. No layer 2 auth. The client gets the ip the ssid shows as unsecured. it does not takes me to the auth web page.
