We are using WLC 5520 controller and now want to join AP CAT-9105. As per datasheet it should support. But can anyone confirm it will work or not or any specific configuration needed?

That is not the complete AP log from POWER ON.  That log is from when the AP has already finished booting and after it has already attempted to join a WLC.  Collect the complete log from the moment the AP is powered on.

hi @King_1988 correct. this model supports with OS 8.10.x according to the matrix and there should not be special configurations. its normal like other compatible APs.

@Kasun Bandara thanks for the confirmation. Is there any dependency on country code?

As Long as you have latest Code suggest for Airos 5500 installed, Cat 9K AP can join and work as expected. (check the matrix URL suggested other post).

Is there any dependency on country code?

Can you explain, hope the AP and WLC in same region ?

@King_1988 hi, if your AP country code enabled in WLC, it will work.

5508, no.

5520, yes if the WLC is running 8.10.X.X.

Ok got it. If that Catalyst AP 9105 is already installed with CAT os 17.6.x as it was joined with WLC 9800 before, So will it change the OS to 8.10.x automatically if it joins with AIR-5520?

When you move the AP on WLC 9800 point to WLC 5520, it automatically downloads required firmware and reboot.

Yes and no.

Depends on the firmware of the WLC and depends on the 9105 date of manufacture.  For instance, FN72424 - Later Versions of Some Wi-Fi 6 Access Points Fail to Join the WLAN Controller.  The WLC will need to be on a very specific 8.10.18X.0 if the AP in question was manufactured after September 2022.

The built-in os is 17.6.x and no backup os is there. So, what is the procedure to join with WLC 5520?

Did anyone made any attempt(s) to read the FN I've posted?

Already did. WLC Model and Version : AIR 5520; OS : 8.10.183.0

Access Point Model and Version : Catalyst 9105AXI-C ; Build-In version : 17.6.0. But still not taking AIR OS

Post the entire bootup process of that AP.
