Hi all,

Updated standalone access point 3702 (may be applied to all 1700, 2600, 2700, 3600, 3700 family) to new image ap3g2-k9w7-tar.153-3.JK and got WEB UI not working with "404 Not Found" error when Save Configuration pressed.

Update was performed using CLI:

After reboot AP successfully acquired IP address via DHCP, but doesn't start http server. Due to security reason in new firmware http server disabled by default and can't be enabled with default password for privileged (enable) mode. So this password needs to be changed and http server can be enabled.

After reboot WEB UI appears, but many functions not working properly. For example if Save Configuration pressed error "404 Not Found" appears making impossible to configure AP using WEB UI.

I tested also 15.3.3 JPI1 and 15.3.3 JPI4 firmware. Same issues.

Latest working version is 15.3.3 JJ1

Does anybody have the solution for this problem?

Hi,

Try upgrading to the latest version, there is one or two newer and see how it works. If still issues, try using different browsers. If still issues, raise a TAC case, as this year you still get bug fixes and development.

Cristian Matei.

Hi All,

Tested newest firmware - 15.3.3 JPJ2.

Now it's better, but still not usable. In this version Cisco fixed most of WEB UI pages, but radio interface settings page is not working: controls are empty and Apply button has no effect.

NETWORK -> NETWORK INTERFACE -> Radio0-802.11N xxx -> SETTINGS

I have the same issue even with JPJ3.

Anyone solved this ?

Regards

Volker

No, open a TAC if you can.
It seems to work for some pages, but not all.
Workaround is to use the CLI.

Hi, I have exactly the same problem. Cisco is so good that they release software without testing! Pros!

The problem is basic and reproducible in 100%.

Hi,

In the following video step by step process has been shown How to Configure Cisco AIRONET 3602i Autonomous/Standalone Access Point using GUI with WPAv2 Authentication Key.

Configuring Aironet Access Point with WPAv2 Authentication in GUI :
1. In Easy Setup
Under Network Configuration
Edit AP hostname, Static IP, Subnet mask and Default Gateway
Under In Radio Configuration
Create SSID name WLAN_New under Radio 2.4GHz and select Broadcast SSID in Beacon
2. Apply Encryption Modes to AES CCMP
3. Enable WPAv2 and apply WPA Pre-shared Key: to SSID
4. Enable Wireless Radio Interface (Radio0-802.11N2.4GHz/ Radio1-802.11N5GHz) UP
5. Save the configuration
6. Finally check the SSID Wi-Fi connection, Security Key, IP address and browsing through internet

It claims it is fixed, but with the JPK1 i'm still getting the 404 error when saving the config. So the issues are most def not solved with the web GUI.

How did you solved it?

Hello,

I am having an Arionet 3702E and experiencing the same issue.

"404 Not Found"

I tried the following firmware:

ap3g2-k9w7-tar.153-3.JK.tar

ap3g2-k9w7-tar.153-3.JPJ7.tar

Both having the same issue.

Going to try ap3g2-k9w7-tar.153-3.JJ1.tar next.

Tried a few more firmware and the web ui is still not working fully.
Here are the firmware I tried:
ap3g2-k9w7-tar.153-3.JJ1.tar

ap3g2-k9w7-tar.153-3.JH.tar

Ending up using the Cisco Network Assistant.

Hi,

Did the CNA Worked?

Hello.
Resurrecting the topic, is there any version that can be used on the SAP2602i that is configurable through the GUI without showing errors?

I assume not, as they have been End of Life since several years.

Do you get the error on all pages or just a few? If just on some, then you could simply configure those via CLI and the rest web gui.
