Dear All,
I have a Cisco 1815i AP with mobility express installed. I've been noticing lately that its transmit power is low (3 dBm) where other APs have 18 and 20 dBm. In addition, coverage area is small.
Although this was working normally before, but now have such issue,
What could be the problem?

Thanks for the answers, but made a backup on the AP, then reset then restore and it worked!

- ....this was working normally before...
- Controller uses TPC (transmit power control) algorithm (and DCA) to adjust power when needed , in this case the AP it 'carries' included or the other way around , depending on how you look it , in order to create optimal cells for coverage. This means that 'big power' is not always the solution because the client must be able to respond to the ap , or find a better access point to connect to.

- Checking if clients are experiencing real coverage issues (not able to connect to the wireless infrastructure somewhere)

They are able to connect to other APs normally, but this one is having some issues in coverage

I think first check your settings - if you're not happy with RRM managing the power settings (it can have strange results if you don't have it all setup correctly) then disable the power control and set the power manually.
Also what version of software are you using? There have been some bugs with low power on certain channels in certain situations.
