Hello @lamrihamza

We need more information to help you.

Do you configure IP add on that interface ? IP address on the same subnet with the other interface facing it ?

Best regards

hello

Yes, I do. I've configured the interface with the same subnet as the interface it's facing, but the protocol line is still down.

Thank you for help

@lamrihamza

Please share fa0/0 configuration.

Best regards

hi

Interface               IP-Address        OK?      Method       Status       Protocol
FastEthernet0       10.X.X.244         YES      other           up             down

thanks

But that does not answer my questions - refer to my post below.
We need to see the full output and running config for the switch and AP ports to have any chance of helping you.

 - The access point may be broken , what is the status of the LED indicator , on top of the AP ?

Hi

The LED indicator is red for 2 seconds and green for 1 second

Thanks

is this issue new installation ? or working one failed ?

what model of switch other side ?

what is the distance between AP and Switch ?

have you taken the AP near the switch and tested ?

Provide "show int fast0/0" and "show run int fast0/0" (I presume that is the switch port because the AP does not have a f0/0 interface)
And the same for the AP port: "show int fast0"
What controller model and software version are you using?
Note that that AP model is very old and end of support!

If this AP is meant to be used without a controller, then the software will need to be converted to autonomous IOS.

With CAPWAP RCV firmware, there is very limited function and/or "configuration" that can be done.
