Activating Multicast on an ASR9k router

Hi,

I need to configure multicast on an ASR9k router  I think I have to download and activate the corresponding .pie file (asr9k-mcast-p-4.1.0) but I do not find this file in cisco.com

The "show install inactive summary" command shows no software packets inactives.

The "show install active summary" shows active only the asr9k-mini-p-4.1.0 packet.

Could anyone upload the file or paste the link  to download the .pie file for activating multicast routing on ASR9K platform?

You need to download the tar file which contain the multicast pie

http://www.cisco.com/cisco/software/release.html?mdfid=282423206&flowid=2138&softwareid=280805694&release=4.2.0&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest

There is no separate multicast pie file on CCO

Then you can untar it find the multicast pie and add/activate it on your router.

I can not download the file.... It seems I have no rights to download this file.... Is there any other way to obtain this file?

You may go to the SW center on CCO, choose ASR9000 as the platform and then choose the right release.

Hi,

you can open a TAC case and ask for the assistance with downloading the file.

The other way is to publish the multicast pie for you.

To we need to know your CCO user id.

If you can let me know about your CCO user id I can publish the multicast pie for you on CCO in

publishing seciton.
