Hi,
Cisco recently released Cisco XRv 5.1.1 which is IOS XR running in a VM. I thought it would be nice track features working not working and if Cisco could comment on the roadmap.
Working:
ISIS
BGP
LDP
Not working:
EoMPLS
VPLS
Control plane is up for EoMPLS and VPLS but no traffic passes through. Post anything you have tested.

Does ABF without VRF work?

I guess the same for l2vpn xconnect? I set it up and it doesn't work.

Yes, as mentioned before, l2vpn / vpls is not supported yet.

Hi Vinit,
For L2VPN, is data-plane already supported on higher versions? Let's say 6.x something.

Chris

Multicast routing does not seem to work over MPLS P2MP TE tunnels. Although the packets show up as forwarded out the MTE interface, they are not. I ran a packet capture to confirm this.

Hi Jasper,
Did you allow all the vlans on the interface on the vm side.
Also, what kind of interfaces have you added on the vbox. is it E1000.

Vinit

Hi
Once in in a while I have disconnect and reconnect the cables in GNS3 to get pings to work. This really stumped me be the first - I watched a 10 minute video which repeated all the step I already did, and then at the end there was a quick blurb about this bug.

Daniel.dib can you please share your setting on XRv vm.

TE path protection also not supported on XRv.

Can't enter following commands:
1) (config)#mpls ldp router-id loopback 0
^
% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.
2) Command completion doesn't work for
mpls ldp
label
local
advertise
explicit-null
hierarcy.
3) Despite the fact I have loopback properly configured, I don't see LDP binding for it on remore router.
4) Locally I see
10.19.19.16/32, rev 2
Local binding: label: ImpNull
No remote bindings
despite explicit-null configured in 2)
Any advice ?

Hi ,
i guess this link will help explaining how to allocate implicit null.

Good Luck :)

As far as I can tell bundle-ether interfaces do not work at least with my basic set. Can someone else confirm?

Hi,
ISIS seems does not work with sub-interface on XRV :D
