change or delete ip address of cisco im and presence on the cisco call manager

I want to delete cisco im and presence server on the cisco call manager.when I click Sytem > server >cisco im and presence 

then click delete

thsi error message:Delete failed. TypeDbErrors.CUPS_NODE_IN_SUBCLUSTER

This can happen if u delete the VM image before deleting the server from CUCM page. If that's the case then probably one workaround is to do the following:

In the CUCM Pub Administration Page, please go to the Bulk Administration > Users > User Template > Find

Click on each user template > Uncheck Home Cluster > Save

Then try deleting the server and let us know if it works.

Hello,

For me to delete the server, I also have to delete in the "Presence Redundacy Group", the DefaultCUPSubcluster.

After that, I have deleted the server with no problem.

I Followed the below steps - did not encounter any error.

1. Deleted the DefaultCUPSubcluster from "Presence Redundacy Group".

2. System > server >cisco im and presence and then click delete.

To be on safer side I did some pre-checks as below

No SIP Trunks between IM&P (Service Parameter and Trunk Page)

No UC Services Pointing to IM&P

No Presence gateway in IM&P

No CCMCIP Profile in IM&P

No User assigned to IM&P

CUCM Ver 10.5.2
