Has anyone gotten the Cisco Click to Call version 8 to work on Windows 7 x64 with Office 2010 64-bit?

I keep getting an issue in which the COM add-in does not start. I get error code "runtime error occurred"

Thanks.

Hi,

Just to note that it is supported on your system:

Click to Call supports the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the following operating systems:

·         Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 2 or higher

·         Microsoft Windows Vista Business Edition or Enterprise Edition, Service Pack 2 or higher

·         Microsoft Windows 7 Professional Edition, Enterprise Edition, or Ultimate Edition

I would personally disable any antivirus and reinstall

I was going to tell you that Office 2010 is not supported but it looks like it is working for other people here...

C2C 8.0 + Office 2010

Hi,

Office 2010 is now supported.

Thanks for the reply, but I know it works on my OS, but I don't have it working on 64-Bit Office. My question really is has anyone gotten it to work on the 64-bit version of Office 2010?

I uninstalled 64-bit Office 2010 and installed the 32-bit version of Office 2010 and it works like a charm. I just really wanted to stick to running 64-bit.

I know that Internet Explorer 64-bit doesn't work either. I wonder if it's the same deal with Office 2010....

Thanks again.

Sorry if I go of subject a little, but does C2C version 7 work with Windows 7 ?

Thanks in advance,

Steven

Yes it does.

Thank you.

Final question:

Does C2C version 8.x work with CUCM version 7.x ?

Steven

Hello, Steven.

I have C2C version 8.0.2540.0 It perfectly workes with Cucm 7.1.5

Hi any updates??

Same scenario: Windows 7 64-bit machine, Office 2010 64-bit, no click to call options (within Office apps)

Hi this is not supported

Valid configurations are

Office 2010 32-bit on Windows 7 32-bit

Office 2010 32-bit on Windows 7 64-bit

Invalid configurations are

Office 2010 64-bit on Windows7 64-bit

Also Microsoft recommend using 32-bit office on Windows 64-bit

can someone from CISCO answer this for me?

Is there anything in the C2C roadmap for Office 2010 64-bit support?  More and more customers are installing x64 everything.  I am having a difficult time explaining to them why this highly demanded feature can't work with their current environment.

Hi

Not supported is the answer. Probably in the next release we may see the support but no official annoncement made yet.

C2C version: 8.0

Supported Desktop Applications

The following desktop applications can be used with the Click to Call application:

Mozilla Firefox 3.5 or higher

Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 and 8.0

Microsoft Excel 2003, 2007, and 20101

Microsoft Word 2003, 2007, and 20101

Microsoft Outlook 2003, 2007, and 20101

Microsoft Powerpoint 2003, 2007, and 20101

Microsoft Sharepoint Server 2003 and 2007

Theres a footnote to the above statement which states the following:

Click to Call only supports 32-bit versions of Microsoft Office 2010 applications.

Hope it clarifies all doubts.
