* System version: 5.1.3.6000-2
*System version: 8.5.1.10000-26

saludos cordiales

receive a warm greeting from Caracas, Venezuela. Has consulted this forum and is about the possibility to make call transfer and conference intercluster trunk when a call manager from 2 different versions on different subnets is established.

currently in the telephone network of the institution where I work, there are two call manager servers including a trunk in this way was configured: INTER-CLUSTER TRUNK (NON-GATEKEEPER CONTROLLED), a route pattern with a specific prefix is also configured to prevent shock extensions between the two servers.

this configuration works correctly, because between the two servers is Possible days to make and receive calls correctly.

the only existing problem is that it is not possible transfers and / or conferences between the two servers using the aforementioned trunk.

test was performed by creating a SIP trunk, which also works correctly between servers, but also allows transfers or conferences.

I appreciate the support in this respect of any contributor who has information about or perhaps whether these options or functions are not possible with the active trunk.

best regards

So if I understand you correctly, transfer and conference calls works fine when you create a SIP Trunk between both the CM clusters. However, if there is an ICT then normal calls work fine but as soon as you try to do a transfer or conference it fails. Couple of questions I have:

1) Do the transfer/conference calls fail when it originates from a particular CM cluster or does it not matter and fails from both the clusters no matter which originated the call

2) You are trying to do the conference/transfer within the same cluster where the call actually originated or across the other cluster. In case, you are trying to do it in the other cluster what happen if you do it in the same cluster

3) Do you have MTP option checked on the ICT or not. If yes, then try unchecking it followed by a reset of the ICT and then try or vice versa

thanks, As Deepak advised , I put to unchecked in the Media termination point (mtp) and was succesful. in addition, between the clusters, had an firewall, and is possible that was affecting this service. now is possible to transfers and conference between the clusters.

Call Flow:

Phone A -- Cluster A -- ICT -- Cluster B -- Phone B

1) Does the call gets disconnected as soon as Phone A/B presses conf/transfer?
2) Which way does the transfer/conference not work?

As Deepak advised, reset the trunk after checking/unchecking MTP.
