Cisco Webex Room Bar BYOD

Hi there,

We have recently installed a Cisco Webex Room Bar Model: CON-ECDN-CSBARMPN. We seem to be having an issue getting audio out from the sound bar. We can see the camera & the microphone but no speaker.

The navigator is been used for BYOD only and will not be registered as a room account.

Cisco Microphone is a direct run from table to the Cisco Sound Bar

USB run is approximatly 10 meters running from the desk to the Cisco Sound Bar. (Note we tried connecting locally with a 1 meter cable and the issue persisted). Camera visible but no speakers.

Is there something I am missing?

Let me know if further information is required.

Barry

Same issue here...Cisco sent us a basic Room Kit to test out.  Connected to PC with USB-C cable.  I get video and microphone no problem, but no way to set the audio device as the room bar using Teams.

What I found while I was there was you can't use a USB C to A cable.  It must be a C to C cable.  The speakers show up as part of the video device that comes with a C to C connection.  I assume they did this for a reason, what it is I am not sure.

Thanks.  In my case I was able to get it all working using the C to C cable and HDMI cable at the same time.  Going to activate it in our Webex Control Hub to get more functionality out of it with Teams.  Apparently doing this doesn't require Teams Rooms license.

Hi,

I have also the issue that a USB-C to USB-A Cable is not working on the Bar. A USB-C to USB-C does. I have several other room devices here e.g. a Desk Pro, a KIT EQ and a BAR Pro. All devices work on a USB-C to USB-A Cable without any issue expect the Room Bar. In most cases no problem but if you want to extend the USB over network and must use separate Video (HDMI) and USB Signal then this is not possible with the bar whereas it works with all other devices. Any reason for this?  The funny thing is that the microphone and Camera is working with the USB-C to USB-A Cable.

Thanks Alex

I'm having the same issue. I tried with a 3rd party USB-C to C cable, no joy. Also I noticed when connected to Dell mobile USB hub, BYOD works with speakers as well.
