4.13 with bunch of MGCP T1 PRI and FXO voice gateway.
We are going to have overhead broadcast at warehouse.
I have three questions, what is the benefit intergrate with CCM4.13??
And any suggestion about any overhead broadcast product (cost effective, easy to install, configure, easy intergrate with CCM and manage).
What kind of equipments (modules) that I need to intergrate with CCM4.13.
Thanks
Ken

We use an Andtek solution. (www.andtek.com) in particular the andtek broadcast solution. Although this is typically restricted to an IP phone as the actual paging device. Just a thought.

I usually use Boegen self amplified speakers, and a Boegen UTI. Then all you need is an FXS card or an ATA. It is the cheapest way to do it if you are looking for overhead paging--if you want to use over the phone too; i agree with the other post or Berbee.

Agreed with the overhead stuff, but if anyone is looking for over the phone paging, Syn-Apps SA-announce is fantastic.

Hi
Does anybody know if the Bogen TAM-B is compatible with Cisco FXS module?
My client has ordered a couple of VIC3-4FXS/DID modules and wants to know if can be used to link the Bogen Paging solution via the TAM-B.
Thanks

I believe if you use an FXS port off of the MGCP gtwy and connect it to your overhead paging amp. Typically the amp will be bogen or viking.

If you use an FXS port you will also need to use a Telephone Access Module (Bogen TAM-B) from each system.

all suggestions are great. I have also seen.. never have done it.... someone take apart a 7940 and stick it in the ceiling. They wired a speaker to the built in speaker and amplified it to the ceiling mounted speaker. Configured the 7940 using PLAR and whamo.... overhead paging.
enjoy todays hack of the day.

Did you see the one in the Unity forum? Guy wants the same thing, but for an MWI light in a general area... told him to take the phone apart and re-wire the Msg waiting lamp to a bigger bulb.
