Hi,
I want to know if someone could help with one problem. I have a Ring topology layer 2 closing in a ASR 9006. I am using MSTP for redundancy, but some weeks ago the network staterd to flapping, I found that one of the switches next to the ASR is showing some strange information, for one second show the port to the ASR as root and the next second it shows it as a boundary.
Int Role State Cost Prio.Number Type
----- ---------- ---------- ---------- ----------- -------------------------
5.1 DESIGNATED FORWARDING 20000 128.642 MSTP
5.2 ROOT FORWARDING 20000 128.643 RSTP (boundary)
----------------------------------------
5.1 DESIGNATED FORWARDING 20000 128.642 MSTP
5.2 ROOT FORWARDING 20000 128.643 MSTP
The root of the network is the ASR, and it closes another L2 rings without problem, I know if is a configuration problem it must stay as root or boundary but no changing it state, is like I have a problem with bpdu, somen could help me?
Sorry for the english.
